Teams and roles
Give each teammate the access they need.
Invite a teammate#
Owners and admins invite members from company settings. Choose the email address and role, then have the recipient follow the invitation and sign in with the intended account. If an invite or email link has expired, request a fresh one rather than forwarding an old link.
Roles apply across the company's projects. Choose the least access that fits the person's work.
Role reference#
| Role | Main capabilities |
|---|---|
| Viewer | Read projects, runs, and usage. |
| Reviewer | Read and comment; cannot accept or reject screenshots. |
| Member | Read, comment, accept and reject visual results. |
| Billing | Read access plus plans, payment, and billing email management; no visual approval permission. |
| Admin | Manage projects, settings, integrations, tokens, and ordinary memberships; also review and billing. |
| Owner | Full company control, including ownership transfer, company deletion, and managing other admins. |
An admin can manage ordinary members but cannot remove or demote another admin; the owner can. Ownership is transferred explicitly rather than assigned as a normal invitation role.
GitHub access and Framecheck access#
Installing the GitHub App connects repositories. It does not automatically grant every GitHub organisation member access to your Framecheck company. Invite the people who need dashboard access.
A linked GitHub account and an email sign-in account should belong to the intended person. Use account settings to manage linked sign-in methods rather than sharing an account.
Require two-factor authentication#
Where available in company security settings, an owner or admin can require two-factor authentication. Members who have not enrolled must complete setup before continuing. Only the owner can turn the company requirement off. See account security.
Ownership and leaving#
Transfer ownership to another appropriate member before the current owner leaves. Use company controls for leaving or removing members; do not rely on removing a GitHub App installation to revoke dashboard membership.
Activity and exports#
Administrative changes are recorded in the company audit log. Expanded member activity views and audit CSV exports depend on feature availability. Do not infer that every view described by a preview is enabled for your company yet.
